Gmail Password Recovery Without Mobile

When we try to regain access to an account that we don't have data for or have forgotten about, it can be a little frustrating. Large companies like Google don't always specify all of their recovery methods, and there are references among users to how this was done anyway.

To recover a Gmail password without a mobile phone, one of the methods that have arisen is the following:

  • Create a new Gmail account with the same information as the account you are trying to recover
  • Start the password recovery process on the blocked account
  • when the process requests an alternate email address, indicate the newly created email address with the same data.
  • You will receive in this e-mail the code to recover the blocked account.
  • Go back to the recovery process and enter the code
  • You will see the message: “A link will be sent to (new account) to retrieve…”.
  • Within 48-72 hours, Google will send you a link to change your password and recover your account.

Note: When you create your new Gmail account, make sure you use the same information (e.g. name, date of birth) that you have in the account file you are trying to recover.

It is important to realize that this system works because Google certifies that you are trying to recover your account. If for any reason there are errors in the data or if Google has doubts about the veracity of the data entered, the process will not work.

There are testimonials of users who were NOT able to complete the process because they requested a recovery account and some emails in which the data is not exactly the same as the blocked account. In this case, Google does NOT recognize you as the owner of the account you are trying to recover and therefore does not give you access to it.

It is also advisable to give the system some time to verify that the new account you have created is yours (24-48 hours, no more), before attempting the recovery process. This way your user data will be stored in the Google system. If you try to complete the process without waiting that long, you may not be granted access to your account.
