How to take Screenshot on Laptop
A screenshot is an easy way to take a 'picture' of your computer screen. Handy when saving a purchase confirmation, to document something during internet banking or just to send a funny picture. But how do you actually make such a screenshot? We explain this below for a laptop with a Windows operating system.
Different types of screenshots
First, decide what you want your screenshot to look like. Want a screenshot of your entire screen? Need a screenshot of one window or program? Or do you want to select a part of the screen yourself and make a screenshot of it?
How to Take a screenshot with the Print Screen button
Want to take a screenshot of your entire screen or part of the window? Then follow these 3 steps.

Step 1: Find the Print Screen key
On the keyboard, find the key that says PrtScn (short for Print Screen) or Print Screen. Often this is one of the keys that are above the arrow keys on the keyboard. You can take a screenshot of the screen by simply pressing the Print Screen button. Is Print Screen in Blue? Then press the Fn and Print Screen keys at the same time. You don't see anything happening, but the screenshot is now taken.
Step 2: Using the screenshot in a text file
Is your screenshot intended to be used in a text file? Then open the file and click on the place where the screenshot should be. Now hold down the Control key, at the bottom left of your keyboard, and then press the 'V' key as well. Your screenshot will now appear in your file.
Step 3: Save the screenshot
Do you want to save the screenshot on your hard drive? Then open a photo editing such as Paint. When the program is open, hold down the Control key - at the bottom left of your keyboard - and then also press the 'V' key. Here you can choose whether you want to crop the photo or not. Is the image good? Then click on 'File', then 'Save As, and choose the name and folder to save the image. The photo is now in the chosen folder, so you can close Paint.
